WIW Steering Columns and Visors
 

I have a couple of extra steering columns, (1) floor shift no tilt, (1) automatic W/Tilt and a pair of interior visors that I don't need. Any ideas on values and should I split up the wheels from the columns ? Burgundy wheel looks to be original, 1 small crack approx 1/2" (beside scuff mark) and two scuff marks on backside only, front side worn. Black wheel looks to be later model, vgc no cracks, not sticky, lot's of barn dust.

The maroon/burgandy interior is less common then most . The wheel looks great and i have seen worse off sell on the board for $100 and nice ones sell upwards of $200. If you find someone looking for that color i would say in the $150 range if its as nice as the picture. Tilt columns in nice shape with minimal wear around $300 shipped. auto columns in nice condition $80-$125 shipped give or take. If the other side of the visors looks the same as the front $50-$60 shipped. I would definetely sell the wheels seperate or at least have them pay seperate shipping on the wheel. Columns are skinny and you can pull the shift lever,turn signal and tilt levers off to fit in a smaller box,but if you ship with the wheel on the box will be much much bigger and shipping will be expensive.

Appreciate your input. Didn't think about seperating them for shipping so I will definitely sell the wheel separate from the column.

The maroon color is '69-only and to someone with a '69 it makes the parts very desirable,especially the wheel. I agree on what the wheel is worth. Columns in good condition go for around $75 and a van tilt is worth $150. Truck tilts are in the $300 range. The visors are the same deal being '69-only. Puts them worth more to fewer people and worth the $50-60 shipped in very exc condition

Appreciate your input. What is the difference between the truck tilt columns and the van tilt columns ? Unsure of what this one came out of (Black tilt column). It was included with the pile of parts I received with the extra 69 Cab I purchased.

Based on the comments regarding the tilt column I assume it is out of a van ?

It looks like it. The only difference is the input shaft is longer on the van,so to put it in a truck requires some modification of the intermediate shaft. They look the same inside the cab. They will sell on here like special-k said for around $150. You might try ebay to get more out of it,but with fees and dealing with the buyers on that site its sometimes not worth it.

I agree with your thoughts on e-bay. The forum is a better audience (and less cost).
