1977 'burb 3rd row seat?

Hi everybody. New to this board and have a question. I just bought a '77 burb and want to put a 3rd row seat in it. I know they came in some later models but were they in models this early? Also, can anyone point me to somewhere I could find one and how to install one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your purchase, I recently purchased a 78 myself. To answer your question, yes a third row seat was available on all square suburbans. Any 73-91 3rd row seat will work however I believe that if the truck was not equipped from the factory with the 3rd row seats then it won't have the mounts in the floor. I know my truck doesn't have any mounts. I am not sure what they look like but you would need the mounts from another truck and they would have to be bolted/welded in before you could attach the seat.

hi, welcome
i've had them with and without
i wanted to put one (like stock)in my 88
a mechanic friend told to ask my insurance about it(being it's not stock)
as some mods need to be inspected,re-safetied by the MTO here
or the insurance dosn't cover,if someone gets hurt
don't know if that applies for you
also later years have shoulder belts too
