16.5"x 11" steel rims for sale
 

I have a set of 4 steel rims that are in decent shape with a little bit of surface rust but no pitting that I can see. One rim has a couple minor bends but look like they will straighten easy( bottom pic). The tires are still on them but I will remove them so they will be shippable. I measured one tonight and it measures 11" wide outside of flange to outside of flange with a 5.25" backspace. RIm is 16.5" tire size. Center hub opening is 4.75" if I remember right. I will have to double check. They have nubs in the center of the rim that looks like they will accept a dogdish hubcap. I am asking $150.00 plus the ride. I need your address to get accurate shipping. I do not use Greyhound since we no longer have a local.

Hi Richard, I'm interested in your rims, can you see if they have a size marked on the outside oposite the valve stem, I'm looking for 16.5X9.75 made in USA?

The size should be stamped and I believe it will show these are 9.75s. I've never heard of 11s and can tell from looking.

Just to be clear with everyone......these rims were NOT on a truck they were on my pole trailer that I am taking out of service so they may not match up size wise with what everyone is accustomed to. I looked briefly for a measurement stamp on the rim last night but i apparently awoke the no-seeums when I went out there and just could not stand getting bit any longer. I will bring the rim in the shop tonight when i get home and break the tire off it and search for a stamping a little better. I measured the 11" the same way I measured the back spacing, from the outside of the rim.

The rim size isn't outside to outside of the lip , it's from where the bead to bead where the tire meets the rim. The 3rd pics showes no nubs for the dog dish hub caps. I'm just trying to pass on a little info.

OK UPDATE......... After utilizing my normal tire removal tools I have decided that unless buyer is willing to pay cost of me having tire shop remove the other three tires they will be local pickup with the tire still on three. The tires are so heavy duty and stiff I almost did not get the 1st one off. Not your average car tire here. Thankfully i broke the bead loose on both sides of the rims while pulling the trailer up close to the garage or we would not even be having this discussion now :lol:

After finally getting the tire removed ( three plastic buckets later :lol:) I was able to get the shot you guys have been asking for. It is not on the outside of the rim, it is on the inside as shown.

But I was correct in stating the rim was 11" outside to outside of flange

and there are nubs on the inner portion of the rims 3 per rim that look like they accept dog dish caps. I do not have any 3/4 ton caps here or I would try one

They really look like the one's I'm looking for, can you check the back and front spacing, I came up with 5" on the back sides and about 5.3/4" on the front. If thats what you come up with I'll take them, you be home Fri?

The last set of 9.75 x 16.5s I bought new from a commercial wheel place and ran on 4 different trucks (1 '71 K/20.2 '72 K/20s,and one '84 K30) were labeled "For Trailer Use". I remember the guy saying,when I said they were going on my truck,"But these are designed for trailers". My reply was,"I know. And,trailer specs exceed the specs for motor vehicle wheels".
