Fuel pump in put, out put

Sort of feel foolish about this, but I am installing a summit perf fuel pump on my sbc, and am not sure which of the two holes is in put and which is out. Looking at it, on the engine from the pass side, I believe the left is from the tank and the right is to the carb.....anyone know off the top of their head....?
