Clifford / Holley carb linkage

1 Attachment(s)
So I am trying to wrap up this conversion but have a question about the linkage. I want to keep my original pedal set up and run a cable from just outside the firewall. In the picture you can see the old throttle rod that I will remove and attach the universal cable. If you look closely you can see above my return spring setup the future other end of the cable dangling. I know I need a bracket just before the carb connection for the cable sleeve. Do I need a bracket on the other end by the firewall or can I just attach the cable to the pivot on the fire wall. Thanks for any input and if you have any pics of how you did it that would be great!

Re: Clifford / Holley carb linkage

If you want to keep your original pedal then use the rod with it and set up a bellcrank at the back of the carb like I did in this link.
Bellcranks are available on ebay. About 30 bucks
Your cable will need a bracket set up on both ends to work right.
Check post #346 for a pick of mine.
