1976 K20 Silverado

Here's my '76 K20 Silverado the day I bought her from the original owner.

400 cid 4-bbl. LF4 engine
TH400
NP203
4.10 gears
Dana 44 - front
GM 14 bolt - rear

Extras included:
dual 20 gal. tanks
overload springs

Sporting the original 6" x 16.5" steelies and caps.

The interior has seen better days and the dash is cracked.

It's supposed to be the "special 2-tone" paint scheme, but the owner had it repainted...incorrectly.

Included was the correct trim for this model and are the boxes in the bed. Also a set of bed rail pickets for hauling wood, hay, etc.

Also running collector license plates now and gone are the makeshift mudflaps on the rear bumper. Other than a tune-up and timing adjustment it's exactly how I bought it 3 years ago.

I have a question regarding the NP203 t-case. GM states that all 4WD w/ a V8 and TH tranny have the NP203 and were full time 4WD. As seen in the pictures it has manual (warn) hubs, which according to GM only came with manual transmissions, so does this mean it is running a NP205? Is there anything I should be looking for to help solve this mystery? I would have asked the original owner but he passed away and the widow, whom I purchased it from, had no idea.

Nice truck! You most likely have a 203 and someone added the hubs and maybe a 2 wheel drive kit to the 203.

Nice truck. Look on your transfer case shifter knob if you see low lock, low,n.high and high lock you got the 203 case. The 3/4 tons with the 400 small block must have come with the turbo 400 because of the extra torque(thinking to my self).

that shifter you have is a 203 shifter. most likely an part time kit was added.

75chev4x4, I checked the shift knob last night and it's identical to what you described, so must be a 203.

Obijuan/76stepside, I'll have to do more research on this part-time/2WD kit.

Thanks all
