Firewall pad suggestion?
 
I will be needing a new firewall pad after the VA install.I am wondering factory style or ABS?I will be able to Fatmat prior to new pad.Any ideas?

:chevy:Are you looking to stay original? If not, I would suggest a full layer of "Dynamat-type material" and an added a layer of "Insulator / blanket with foil backing". Seal it all as much as possible. Cover to suit !

I ended up going with the cardboard backed with insulation.Not crazy about it but was way cheaper than the abs,will stick with it for now.

I just finished this topic. Dynamat and cardboard style insulator from brothers. Looks fine. Don't think this area is very visible from the seats.
