i havent taken a look at it myself but im taking orders from my dad. he said something about a shaft that went all the way down, and one of the parts that holds everything together. i know this isnt helping at all but i havent been over to where the truck is to take a look for myself. he was also asking how much a complete unit would be. thanx for any help

Gabet, Have you checked salvage yards. I purchased the entire steering column out of a 65 c10 for $10.00. All i needed was the signal light switch and shift tube. The shift tube, on 3sp manual trannys, is was gives the problem in the old chevys. Linkage crosses up.

So, i would suggest you check salvage yards. Also, when you are driving in the country, always keep a look out behind farmers houses and barns for old pickups. I've located parts that way. Cheap

good luck

Shorty

is there a diagram anywhere that shows the steering column parted apart? the problem is that were missing parts so were not sure what were missing. but a diagram would clear things up
