Fired up the 327 today after 15 years
1 Attachment(s)
I fired up the 327 today after it has been sitting for over 15 years since the rebuild... You can't see the engine very well in the video, but you can hear it runs just fine!
here is the link http://youtu.be/X7hs5RneRnI or just search sigshooter's 327 on you tube |

You must feel pleased.
Especially after setting so long. |
Re: Fired up the 327 today after 15 years
Very happy, it was covered and sat most of the 15 years in the bed of the truck sitting in a barn. I was worried about condensation, but it all looked just as nice as the day I put it together..... I listened to some old timers and the last time I started it I flooded it out with tranny fluid until it died, they said that would coat the cylinders and valves and keep them from rusting. seemed to work just as promised.
