Hi Guys! I'm new to this site and new to Chevy trucks. I have been stalking this site for a while now trying to educate myself and I have to say that there are some great people on here with great knowledge!!! I will be needing a lot of help in the future and feel like this is a great forum for advise. I have tons of plans for my truck, however I will need to rely heavily on you guys for advise. To make a long story even longer... I have primarily owned Mopar Muscle cars (please don't hold that against me)!!! I was recently presented the opportunity to own the 1970 C-20 shortie W/utility bed that my Uncle John taught me to drive when I was 9 or 10 and that was 30+ years ago! I have always loved this truck (Blue Baby) and want build this in honor of him for everything he taught me when I would spend summers with him and my aunt on their farm. I plan on going with a Hot Rod Shop Truck theme and I think the utility bed is awesome!!! Anyway, I love this website and it is now my new favorite thing!!!

Welcome to the site from Maryland. I can tell you've been lurking cuz you got your first post right. Posting pictures is mandantory procedure, right? I like Uncle John's Baby Blue. It's not real common to find short beds with utility beds. Usually they were phone company or other light utility with many small parts and tools required. I'm a utility body nut from way back. That ones got some flair with the angled rear and bottom rear corners. I know where there's a '67 D200 slant six 4spd I could buy and trade you

This is def. an old phone truck. My father in law retired after 35 years with South Western Bell and told me he could remember driving one of these when they first came out. I too am a fan of the utility beds, I think once I lower it, put new rims and tires on it, shop logo it, and add some V-8 power, this will be a cool "Shop Truck". I appreciate the trade offer however this one has some sentimental value that keeps me growing fonder of the Bow-Tie!!!

Welcome, you're in the right place! There is a build thread for a utility bed truck in that forum, can't think of the title right now but it's perfectly cool, like yours.
