Made a little more power.
Last time on a chassis dyno with my old heads cam and unlocked 4l80E I made 469rwhp on 91 octane and 28* timing.
Today with 20* timing I made a pull with 91 and laid down 511rwhp. With E48 I turned timing up to 28* peak tq and 26* peak hp (what it liked, tried a bit more with no gains), made 546rwhp. Drained the tank again and put E85 in. Did not gain anything on E85 compared to E48. Dyno sheet coming. Combo: 418ci 13-1 PRC 237 heads 254/260 .62x/.63x hyd Super Vic intake Dominator TB 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 edelbrock headers (think they are holding me back) Dual electric cutouts Power glide with 5,200 rpm verter |

Very nice!! I saw where you had lost a fair amount of weight out of the truck too. I don't think it will take you long to reach, and exceed your goals. Paul

Nice job! It's interesting that there was no power increase from E48 to E85 at your compression using that cam. I would have guessed that it would have picked up a little more on E85.

I agree that NA, E48 is all I need.. Where I will use the E85 though is when I start spraying this motor.
I couldn't find the plugs I need for the bottle or I would have turned the bottle on. Every where I went they were a 2-3 day order. |

Ok anyone can draw some squiggly lines on a graph, video or it didn't happen!! Just kidding, but I do have to live vicarously through other people's ls powered trucks since mine is given me a headache!! Great numbers and I can't wait to see some track times.

8/17 and 8/18 my friend. Problem is it might only be 1/8 mile. Dyno said 6,800 = 118mph

What plug are you looking for? I can see what I can get and send you some. champ 295 cut back ground strap? or a autolight AR3935, or a -11ngk? BTW congrats on your numbers. I cant wait to see that truck launch of the brake! How fare away are you from Bakersfield? |

I have a NGK TR6 in it right now. But that is a projected plug and definately not for the bottle.
Looking for: B7EFS B8EFS B9EFS B10EFS Bako is about 3 hours from me. Same to Sac, so I go there instead since my sister is about 30 minutes from Sac. I normallt stay at her place. |

A dyno is just a tool. I own a dynojet dyno. I see no reason not to show SAE numbers. I wil be happy to post up what the specs are and the % allowed to where it is within range and what is outside of that range.
Any shop that is over 1500 feet ELV should be showing SAE only for the reason to show somewhat of a comparable power chart. Today I am showing 1.24 SAE correction factor, Another thing to really look at is having a stock base line and then re running the built engine, and only looking at % of gain. Here is a dyno sheet that we did not too long ago, As you can see I ran the bike in stock form and have ALL of my weather stack readings shown, then tuned with the upgrades . So in the end you can see that the mods where a 28 hp gain, 25 tq.. Thus the dyno is only a tool with a standard to work from numbers are just numbers, chassis or engine it does not show anything. Supers combo made X before the mods and now with the new parts makes X. he knows what the gains are. Nothing more than that. In the bike world anyone showing sheets that are not in SAE and with all weather stack info, get taken with a grain of salt and tossed aside. Engine dyno vs chassis.. I feel that a before chassis and after is better as you see what is really getting put to the rear tires. SO in supers cases he had a engine and trans combo and then he switched all of that up.. Now he has the new kit and he can see what he is really getting to move his truck down the track road etc. Again a dyno is a tool nothing more, I strive to show a base line as that way it does not matter what you start with or end with, just a % of gain . For a EFI system a dyno is a tool that is a must to get the set up tuned in. |
