i6 250 high stall torque converter

I have a inline 6 im going to install in a 69 c10. The tranny is a th350 that was in the truck with a the blown v8. When the engine blew, the freeze plug behind the cam flew out and hit the flexplate, dented it, sheered off some screws and bent one of the torque converters 3 mounting plates.

So, I am going to get a new torque converter, and was wondering what type of converter should go on a i6 250? I have been trying to search this forum and the internet and have seen alot of various things when it comes to torque converters and I6.

The 1st question: What is a recommended torque converter for a th350 and i6 250.

2: Is there a performance upgrade installing a high stall converter on an i6? I am looking into a 2000 rpm converter.

thanks

Re: i6 250 high stall torque converter

if your engine is stock a stock converter with stall from 1400-1800. Oreillys sells one for $75. if the engine is not stock you need to know the powerband of your cam and move the stall to that cam. oriellys sells performance ones also. but that will cost more and cost more at the pump
