where to put speakers and sub

So I am new to the audio stuff. Always been good with stock. But I have decided I want a good system and a sub. So I need recommendations for a deck speakers, and sub. Tank in the truck. I dont really wanna make the kick panel ones. I am putting 1999-2007 style seats and a custom console in though need ideas please.

Get rid of the incab gas tank.

I made the kick panel enclosures, work good, but look like s#$@ due to my fiberglass skills, any way, I also put two 8's under the seat. With the box it has just about an inch of clearence fom the top of the sub to the bottom of the seat. Each box measures 261 cubic inches, enough for each 8.

If you are doing a custom console, you may look into building an enclosure into it, maybe for an 8. I dont know, its kinda hard to find room in the cabs for speakers and such.

With those seats, I think odog is right that you should look into building the sub in the console...maybe even back firing at the tank so you don't notice it. Without building a set a kicks, you're limited to either buying the ABS versions or cutting the doors.
