non split rims for a 38 chevy???

Friend just got a 1938 chevy truck it has 6 bolt 17" split rims. He is looking for a non split rim replacement in at least a 16" because the brake drum is so big. Any one have ideas????

What type rim? Steel or aluminum.
I have a '38 1 ton also with the same wheels. Is your friend interested in selling a couple of his?

I think he was thinking steel but I dont know for sure. I will ask him if he wants to sell the 17" split rims.

IFIRC late 80's F*rd van 6 lug 16 inch wheels will fit. Someone else may correct me.
