Do new stock speakers fit older door pods?

went looking for some used speakers today
found one set 4X10 @ 10 ohms,back
but got two sets of 4X6 @ 8ohms,front
from pillars of late 80's i'd say
wondering now do they fit the door pods?
or just hide them under the dash
