I dont have my own welder or plasma cutter I'm thinkin I can drive my truck to my buds hs remove the fenders (inner fenders already removed) drop the steering linkage and install the notch for the rack. however.... my fuel line runs through the frame rail right where the notch needs to be fuel pump is right there too! My truck is a 62 C10 is this even possible? and any ideas much appreciated thanks, Tony :metal:

Tony-

How tall of a tire do you plan on running? And do you plan on running our control arms?

The reason I ask is that we can tweak our Touring version with bags to still get the frame on the ground... depending on overall tire height/spindle selection/and control arms. With that version, there is no necessity to notch the frame.

Drawback is that it isn't quite as narrow as the original Dropmember.

^^sweet, would that idea work with a 27" tall tire, 3 inch drop spindles, possibly narrowed factory 73-87 a-arms, double convoluted bags, and still be able to lay frame?

The Touring version has to run our lowers in order for the bushing/pivot of the arm to clear the rack and pinion.

It's just going to take a little effort moving the fuel lines and protecting them so you don't catch fire and burn to death.

hey Nate! would this idea work with using the air ride tech cool ride tubular control arms, 3" drop spindles, and with a 27" tall tire?
