Complete new floor for panel anyone
 

Well after investigation I have four place in floor pan that neede patching,Figuring with that much I might as well replace the whole pan.Little more cost bunch of work,but probaly make better finished product. Beside once done it will buyable but not realy looking to sale it.

Wondering if anyone here has done the total pan replacement and their result and how fit went. My biggest concern is how it will fit up since everyone says no such thing as perfect fitting patch panels. Will fitting the whole pan to the fireawall section be bigger or lesser issue than fitting patch panels. I can see it goin both ways on this.

first off iv never used a complete floor on any of mine,,,but iv used lots of patch panels and had very good luck with them,,(they didnt make the floor when i did my 4x4 panel of i would have tried it) i wish my good computer wasnt locked up i would post some pics,,,lets just say i burnt a sh!! ton of wire on that one,,,second just so u know if u dont allready the panel floor is just a little different on the pass side than anything else,,, it is just cosmetic far as i can tell but there is less of a slope up to were the seat bolts (probably so u dont trip getting into the back???) sorry for the long post and hope this helps

My panel was very rusted out, the guy that did my body and paint patched it together. I gave him the full floor pan for each side but they fit like crap.

It seems to me I heard Livrat recently say that the panel pans are different than even the burb pan. More flat or something? I might have that wrong.

Yea bad part of doing a panel seems they are the reheade stepbastard child. everything looks like the truck part till you look at them side by side and theres a slight differance some where.

I guess its price of being differant.

Panel floors step up just behind the doors, while the 'Burb floor is 6" or so further back before it steps up. That's the dead give-away if it's a true Panel or a converted 'Burb.

this one 100% gaurantee panle my grandfather bought it in 1969 custom ordered it. Sold it to man in TN for 3 times original cost. Ran across it and bought back for 1/4 what he sold it for. SOUNDS great hum. Nope that guy was nowhere near my grandfather when came to taking care of stuff. Lots of body work to do.
