What mirrors should I choose?

Returning some wood to Loew's for my Dad he caused me to snap the mirror off. Was not too upset since he paid me for it and that type was useless on that side. Considering the originals either round or square ones. What do you think?

Round. They match the truck better.

Back when I only had one mirror I tried a rectangular mirror for a few days. It vibrated so badly I couldn't see out of it while driving. I have dual round stock mirrors now, and use both everyday when backing into the garage.

Yeah round, I had rectangular ones and they whistled and vibrated, ripped them off and went to round.

Glad you asked, I was ready to order the rectangle ones. Guess I'll go with the round ones.

Is there a "standard" place to mount them? I mean where should the mirror line up with the window. Just to the point you can see the drivers mirror unobstructed? From the pictures it seems this is the case.

Doing so seems to me will put the passenger side mirror where it will be obstructed from view by the vent window. Mostly for looks?

Simply looks. The rectangle ones were easier to see stuff with, and I didn't have the vibration issues some have noted for some reason, lucky. But I like the look of the round ones better - that's all. Form over function...
