Ya its not really a truck but I think it looks damn COOL. Its got a 59 ElCamino roof.

Usually a wagon or sedan delivery gets sacrificed to make those. There's a '55 running around here made from a 4dr.

Aussie guys might know if the made UTEs before 59 based on the auto chassis.

Here's one from a goodguy's show in 2009 in scottsdale. It has a rear cab section from a 55-59 small window. I know the tri-5 purist think this is sacrilegious, but I kinda like it. I have more pics if you want 'em.

That black 57 is one of the slickest wagon into Elkie style trucks I have seen. It looks like they might have used the tops of the 59 doors too.

I think the black one looks good, too. The pickup car wasn't a new idea for GM, though. They had a "coupe pickup" in the '30s and early '40s.
