fuel pump/tank tool
just scored an 89 burb fuel tank for my build, need to know where to get a fuel pump holddown ring tool, also what is the normal fuel pump pressure these should run at?

Re: fuel pump/tank tool
You could use a brass punch instead, just a thought

Re: fuel pump/tank tool
i use a cold chisel and lots of little bumps of the hammer. don't get carried away and give a few taps and go to another tab (there's 4 of them) and you'll be fine. not the "proper way", but works just fine.

Re: fuel pump/tank tool
Yehh not really wanting to use that method, I have had to do that in the past, you always end up bending or jacking something up, was hoping someone had a tool they could part with or have a source to one. Guess I'll make one.
Thanks for the replies. |

I didn't know they made a tool. I've always used a brass punch as well.
