Truck and Car Shop - Pricing trickery and HORRIBLE customer service

I have bought from Truck and Car Shop several times and I've always had the same problem, when I use their "shop online" option, the total I approve on my order when I pay is never what they charge me. I've always known they don't keep their catalog prices current so my online shopping cart never matched the catalog prices, but they don't keep their online prices current either.

When I call they always give me the same excuse, word for word, so I know they are coached on what to say. They tell me that prices are subject to change without notice and they are in the process of manually updating their online prices so they aren't always accurate. I told them they've used that same excuse for over a year now and no other website I've ever purchased from jacks up the prices on me after I've submitted my order. They were very unprofessional each time I've called. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she was even more rude than the first gal I spoke with, trying to argue with me so I just cancelled my order. I would hate to deal with them if any of the parts arrived damaged or missing, I can only imagine the excuses I would hear.

Hopefully this saves some of you the headache I've endured :chevy:

I'd buy from Classic Parts, that would teach them!

I bought a bumper from Classic Parts and it arrived with chrome chipping off badly around all the holes and they made me eat the shipping because they said it wasn't a defect, I just had higher standards than the quality of the part, but they did refund my money for the bumper a month after I sent it back so better than nothing.

I guess standing behind a product and good customer service is too much to ask these days...
