Will it fit right? will i need added support? will it bolt right on like the original front clip? im trying to build this truck on a buget free-0$ haha im broke right now but i can weld great and fabricate most small things all help is apresheated hope i can get some help , i have a 3/4 ton frame from a 85 burb im gonna roll under it already so yes this wont be a half ton no more

call a HD wrecker and ask what it would cost to pull her out and home. probably a couple hunnies. Lets see some pix, I may know someone who can help you out, but I gotta see the truck to make sure.

I bet you could sell the box for the tow charge

The cabs on those trucks are usually nicer than the ones on a pickup, why not just drop the whole C50 body on the burb frame? That way you won't have to mess with cutting the cab up, etc. If I remember right, you'll have to cut and notch the botton front corner of the doors to clear the C50 fenders. Also, the fenders drop down a lot, do a lot of measuring before you cut.

If it is truly sunk that bad, are there rust issues underneath? If it is on relatively flat ground you should be able to air the tires, dig it free with a shovel, and pull it out to where you want it. Is it air brakes? If so, you can cage the brakes to pull it around on flat ground. How long since it ran last? Why did it get parked? If you look around, you might find someone to pull it out for the salvage other than the cab.

The front clip from a C-40 or larger will not bolt onto a pickup cab. The truck fenders and hood are shorter than those on a pickup. The truck cabs are also different and will not work on a pickup, the floor and firewall are different.

This is my 68 C-50.
