I used a champion radiator and electric fans. It is a nice piece and I believe it was right around $300 total. I bought it from a company on ebay but I can't remember the name off hand.

My plan is AFCO 80126N aluminum dual pass with the correct inlet and outlet on the passenger side. The fan will be either the 97 Lincoln Mark VIII or the Jeep Grand Cherokee... Just havent pulled the trigger yet...

Stock, with 98 Windstar fans, with only 1 fan working in the pair, it still never sees over 205, even when it's 110 outside.

I'm running a be-cool sbc radiator w/ custom hoses setup for Lsx.
I have whatever fan was sent with the be-cool kit 5 years ago.

Stock radiator with the stock clutch fan that came on the engine. Fits in the original fan shroud, works great.

I've never been a real big fan of electric fans, they work alright but draw tons of power. Of course some cars you have no other option so you have to use them, but if at all possible, I'll use an engine driven fan. Last year just outside of Las Vegas I had a weather pack connector on my '33 Ford melt down and then its no fan at all. Was alright when I was moving, but she heated up fast when stopped.

Do you have pics of this installation? I have seen them used on Chevelles, which are very close in size to our truck rads. Just curious how you tackled it, as I have liked the work I've seen you do thus far.

There's pages of back and forth on this. Last thing I read said that the load required for a brand-name efan was still less than the equivalent for a mechanical. Plus its only on when it has to be.

Part of the issue with those who have insufficient cooling with an e-fan is
A. they bought a crappy fan with too low of cfm for what they need
B. They are using a pusher as a puller or vice versa and losing cooling capacity.
C. They aren't running a shroud and are wasting air
D. Its programmed or wired wrong
E. Wired like crap and when the fan kicks on it creates too much of a draw.

Most of us with lsx swaps have an alt. that is more than double what we need, no good, properly wired fan should over-draw the system.

My Old Air Products e-fans have cooled both my 383stoker/turbo350 combo and now, my 6.0L efi motor. 1 fan running will generally keep it at 185* or below...2nd fan is usually not on long. Had them since 2009 w/o any issues. Oh wait, I have had one relay go out I had to replace, but that's all.

Much appreciated, here are a few pics, I ended up welded a few tabs off of the radiator support out of 1/8" steel, bottom slides into a groove and top bolts on. Fit's just about purfect, I had to do some plastic trimming but not to bad. They are controlled by the pcm, 30A breaker to a 30amp relay for both fans.

I plan on using the factory fan on my 5.3 with the factory 67-72 radiator and shroud. If this is possible. I'd like to see pics if anybody has any.

The radiator is a couple inches wider then the 67-72 trucks... so I think it will take alot ot make it fit...

No, I meant the factory 67-72 radiator and shroud. I fixed my confusion.

Re: What radiators and fans are you using?

If you mean an electric fan, I emailed someone on eBay for dimensions and it too wide.... If you meant the mechanical fan attached to the water pump, somone tried it with a mid 80's square body and was looking for a spacer to get the fan into the factory shroud... I guess it depends on how far back the motor ends up.... havent seen any 67/72 with mechanical fans....

No, I mean using the mechanical fan from my 5.3 with 67-72 shroud and an original style radiator. If possible, of course.
