Just bought this truck for Mrs Dubie

It's a 67 GMC with a 68 front clip, on a 70 rolling chassis a 250 inline 6, with a 4 speed granny low tranny. All of this for a whopping $150!!! Buddy of mine was gonna crush it, so i made him an offer for it. This is a pic i took of it 2 years ago when it was still on the 67 frame.

teeitup 05-24-2003 12:23 PM

Nice buy!! Wish I could find them around here for that price.

Wow, the canadian dollar is worth more than I thought!! ;)

See Tim you don't realize what you've done. Now you'll have to work on Shawna's truck, and yours will never get done!!!! :D

Slams_58 05-24-2003 01:07 PM

No, his is going to be done first, then we will start on mine. Hoping to make it into a shorty :D

yet!

Ahem.... may need to update that sig line.

dtlilly 05-24-2003 01:09 PM

I see it the other way. Shawna is going to work on her own truck, and probably have it done before Dubie gets his done :D

JHickson6 05-24-2003 01:11 PM

Hey that's sweet Tim, but maybe you should have waited until yours was done, because she's just gonna spend money on her truck and not yours! LOL :p

Slams_58 05-24-2003 01:20 PM

Nah the sig line can stay, I want his done so I can put all the really good sh!t in MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

old Rusty C10 05-24-2003 01:37 PM

good luck with it!! and ity aint a bad color either!!

Blue Beard 05-24-2003 02:41 PM

He says its for her..........but is it really, or is that just another line to bring it home?

Longhorn Man 05-24-2003 11:48 PM

I think he bought it just so he could put the bed on his...he's been wanting a flat bed.
I gotta say, awsome score!
And Shawna...congrats, it has the sexy lookin GMC grill too. :D

Shane 05-25-2003 12:48 AM

congrats Mrs. Dubie ....

one more thing ... whats that funny looking ATV thingy without any wheels? is that one of those new-fangeld snow mobiles I have heard so much about? We don't get much snow down this way, so maybe that's why i have never seen one. :D ;) :D

BOSS 05-25-2003 08:52 AM

Nice truck and you cant beat the price.Maybe now she will want yours done faster so she can get started on hers..........lol

Yukon Jack 05-25-2003 09:27 AM

He was gonna crush that? What in the world was he thinking! Looks like an awesome buy. I really think you ought to put a big block in it, that would surely make the mrs happy - and a happy mrs makes a happy mr by gawd!

70c10 05-25-2003 01:55 PM

Congrats on the new addition!

krue 05-25-2003 03:13 PM

Good looking truck! Which truck is the fastest?:D

Slams_58 05-25-2003 08:57 PM

Neither has a motor right now so I guess the fastest truck is the one who pushes the hardest! :D I want a BB but Tim says it's illegal for a wife to have a cooler truck than the hubby! :(

Baradium 05-25-2003 09:31 PM

but the first post says it has a 250 I-6?

Palf70Step 05-25-2003 09:52 PM

Nice Truck Mrs D... I, like Andy, think the GMC front end is great. On the motor, hey what the heck...Get a BB. I'm sure you can convince Dubie to see your way :D

Longhorn Man 05-25-2003 10:29 PM

Shawna...how bout a caddy big block? <insert evil smiley face here>

Slams_58 05-25-2003 10:58 PM

I don't want the I6... I want a big block...but in all reality our gas is freakin ridiculously expensive here so I'll prolly end up with a rebuilt 350

ChrisK10 05-25-2003 11:31 PM

hmmm

Hey, think I can find any sweet deals like that when I come up in a couple of weeks?? :D ;) You say you bought that for 150 Canadian dollars? WOW!! Does anyone know what the actual exchange rate is?

-Chris

68 Stepside 05-25-2003 11:34 PM

150 canada dollars equals 109.123 US dollars...sounds like a good deal to me....

dubie 05-26-2003 07:49 AM

I was hoping to pick it up last night but it still needs the front clip bolted back on. It's in pretty decent shape and will make a great project truck.
