Hello (again ?) 83 K5 Blazer
Hello again. Since my first post here (I deleted it by the way and went to the paint and body section) I have calmed down a little and gotten over my buyers remorse. I have been restoring a 68 C10 pickup for a year or so and had planned on it being a father and son project. When my son (14) started asking about raising the truck instead of lowering it, I could see we have different visions on the 68. I had already bought all of the parts to lower it. He really wanted a 4WD and he likes the old Blazers (69-91). A bonus for me because I don't know how to work on Fords, Dodges or imports. I bought this 83 K5 for what I thought was a good price. It runs very well and everything but the cruise control works. It is unmolested and has the original paint. I was spooked about the rust around the windshield and finally came to realize it's just something My son and I will have to deal with. Sorry for the rambling. Here are some pics. This whole board is a fantastic place for us old truck guys.

Looks like it's in real good shape! I like the exhaust too. Nice find!

Looks like clean canvas, nice score. Building one for a teen child with their help is a heap of fun. Congrats!

That's a good one. Have fun with it. Curious to see what ideas your son has for this.

Bert - I think it's awesome you can do this with your son, definitely something he'll always remember. Not to mention that he'll appreciate it quite a bit more since he'll have worked on it with you.

Hey welcome back to the best boards around again from MT! :D The '68 sounds like a fun project. I like the blazer though looks like its in pretty decent shape. Gonna be a sweet father and son project. Cant wait to see more pics of it.
