Questions about lowering the "RIGHT WAY"

Hello I have a 68 c10 that has been converted to 5 lug with disk brakes already. I bought the truck about 2 months ago and it has air bags on it at the moment. What I want to do is take off all the air bags and go back with the lowering coil springs, so my question is what is one of the better ways to lower a c10? Think im going to do something like 3" front and 4 or 5" rear. thanks in advance.

You might already have drop spindles in the truck, if it has been bagged and converted to disc. In that is the case, I would go with a 1" drop coil up front, with a 4" in the back. Spindles are the best way to lower a truck vs. trying to get the full drop out of the front coil. There is a lot of room in the back, so a 4" coil will be good for the rear. If budget allow, an adjustable trac bar is a good idea also.

McGaughy's makes great components and affordable.

2.5" spindles & aftermarket front coils.
3-4" rear drop coils & 1" lowering block.

Thanks everyone for the help. How can you check to make sure you have lowering spindles?

If you post up a picture of the spindle we can likely let you know if it's stock or dropped.
