Fuel Tank
I have a fuel cell in the bed of my '72 swb. I want to install a tank between the rear rails with fill door in the bed. Anybody have a suggestion as to the tank and flush fill door to use? Also any pics would be helpful.

Re: Fuel Tank
Just put a blazer tank in mine. Got a tank kit from LMC, tank, straps, and sending unit. The inlets are 1-3/8" on a blazer tank so you need to use a blazer inlet or weld on a 1-1/2" inlet, which is a standard size of filler necks. One of the bed support rails will need to be cut to allow enough room for the tank. The distance between the frame and bed are tight, but there is enough room for the filler neck. There are some good threads on here on moving the tank to under the bed. thanks and good luck

Re: Fuel Tank
STeems is right. I prefer poly tanks. The hose is a pain, after running around for an hour to three different parts stores I went to a hydraulic shop and bought 20" of 1 1/2" gas grade hose for $20.00. It clamped tight. Make sure your vents are free and clear and are properly connected into your filler neck.

Do a search for "camaro gas tank".

I pulled my fill door and everything to the tank out of a totaled 89 suburban. I fit perfectly. I had to cut my bed on the inside and build a cover (should have found one out of an early blazer). The tank came out of a full size blazer (not sure of the year) and has a 2" fill neck. Took a little massaging but it's in there. I built my own straps.
