X2.
Toyo Proxes are a good choice for those two sizes.

I'll probably do 295/45s in the rear if I do 20s.

Re: 4.5/6 Drop, Tire size rollin on 20's

When we usually setup tire and wheel combo's, I run a 285/40/20 in the back with a 245/45/20 up front. That gives you the staggered look and the tires are the same height. But, it also comes down to personal opinion. Those sizes I mentioned are availble in the Nitto 420S.

As for backspacing, the numbers you mentioned are good, considering you have the wider rear end in your truck that came in the later 70-72 C10's. Your signature says 68, but did you swap rear ends? If not, you would run around a 4.75" BS on the rear 20x10. Or run a spacer depending on what wheels you are looking to go with.

Here is an image of a 285/40/20 Nitto 420S.

Re: 4.5/6 Drop, Tire size rollin on 20's

I don't have any pictures of the trucks we have done with those particular sizes. However, I did find this later model truck on the forums here. Not sure who owns it, but hopefully they don't mind.

The rear tire is the 285/40/20. The front is a 255/35/20 which is shorter than the 245/45/20, since that 245 is the same height as the 285.
