Going from ac to non ac

I want to pull out the ac housing on my crew & swap to a non ac set up.Have a parts cab that's non ac so got it covered far as parts. There was a thread a while ago about this, but I can't find it.How do I go about finding this??? Tried on FAQ but no luck, just comes up no match, maybe I am going about it wrong.I someone can point me in the right direction, that would be awesome! The whole reason for the swap is most of the ac parts are missing and the mice moved in over winter so it doesn't smell very good on the +30 degC days!! I do have an ac parts truck as well, but want the simpler setup if possible....T.I.A.

Don't worry I've been looking for the thread myself. Hopefully somebody will be able to point the way.

Sorry I can't help with the thread but I have done this before. I hate AC and all the crap they bring to the table. I like clean and simple. Anyways, the hole in the firewall is bigger in the AC cab than it is in the non AC cab. I have always swapped cabs with non AC cabs. If there is a cover plate to cover hole and make it the same size as non AC I don't know of any. You could always cut the firewall section out and weld in the non AC firewall. That's what I probably would do if I didn't have a non AC cab.

Ya,I have a couple parts cabs so with probably just cut a piece from the firewall it for my crew. Up here I might use ac two months of the year so it won't bother me not to have it.Much less crap to go wrong too!!!
