Sweet truck, yes pricey. They were rare for a reason.

"Look, [insert significant other's pet name here]...I've had the truck on Craigslist for 6 weeks and it still hasn't sold. We might as well keep it".

I'm pretty sure Keith's own truck is awful rare, considering the options on it.

"No rare squares". You guys are crackin me up...

BTW - we built a lot of long bed steppers for the Middle East. I don't know why, other than it's one of the few offerings we gave them in their product portfolio.

And I think you know what I mean when I say rare, I know they are not rare but long bed step-sides are hard to come by around here.

Found one around here today, first I've ever seen. Appeared to be a City truck at some point:

There's a long stepper in AK for sale $1600obo, was thinking about going to look at it. It's the most awful green color though.

Re: Possibly Rare but Not Worth The Money?

It would sell here for that price, as far as I know the long bed stepside was never imported or sold in Europe by GM. Most squares here are longbeds and diesel.

Re: Possibly Rare but Not Worth The Money?

his wifes probably making him sell it so he posted a outragous price so he could keep it haha!

Re: Possibly Rare but Not Worth The Money?

Didn't know you could get a step side 3/4 ton truck. So what's the advantage of a long bed stepside vs a wide-bed?

tylervalo 09-23-2012 01:25 PM

Re: Possibly Rare but Not Worth The Money?

I think someone said cities would order them with step sides so workers couldn't overload the truck.

Can't be overloaded and can carry fence posts and road signs etc...

That, and you have the little step for easier access to contents in the bed from the side.

Of course, during my growing up years NO ONE would dare put their foot on that step.

I was 45 years old before I realized it was ok to touch the painted surface of a car with your bare hand....much less your shoe.

(lol)

I like the longbed stepsides but man those wheels killed it. And I think 10k is a bit too much for a square...
