67 GMC bedside fuel tanks
 

Hey,

Anyone know if there is any use for the OE plastic fuel tanks found on either side of a 67 Camper Cruiser? Seems to be too specific a fit to go with anything else...

Plastic tanks are not OEM on that truck. If you are talking about a set of aftermarket underbed saddle tanks they should be adaptable to any 67-72 longbed or Longhorn. If they are inbed saddle tanks they should also fit the same years. Do you have any pictures?

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the reply. I always thought these were factory since they fit perfectly in the underbed wheelwells and since this is a camper cruiser I thought this would have been an option (higher fuel capacity for hauling/camping). Even the valve on the floorboard to switch between the 3 tanks appears factory. I will post pics as soon as I can but am really trying to figure out what to do with them. I have no use for them and I have a feeling not too many people are looking for these even though I do not see them reproduced through LMC, Brothers, or anywhere.

i put a set of them on a 1969 cst long bed years ago, you could go a long ways before you had to fill up....i liked them, but today it would cost a bunch to fill them up. if i remember right between the two saddle tanks and the cab tank i could carry 62 gallons of fuel....
