Removing a hose?
How do i remove this hose? I believe its the heater hose near the back of the 4.3 liter on my 94. Looks luke a special fitting which would require a special tool. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...psf8fcfc48.jpg

Re: Removing a hose?
The factory quick connector is made out of an aluminum alloy that corrodes badly.
It will most likely break off at the intake when you try to work with it. There are steel and stainless steel replacements available. The top part, in the first link, looks like is what will need to be replaced it after you break it. The second part is the plastic with release tabs, which comes with the connector, which yours looks like the plastic is in very poor condition. I did not make sure this is the correct one for your vehicle. I just wanted you to see what it should look like. http://www.summitracing.com/search/S...ake/CHEVROLET/ Here is a thread on the connector. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=340143 |

You're welcome.
Let us know if it breaks off. They make extractors just for them. Most people use a hack saw blade to saw out from the center. |
Re: Removing a hose?
Those are a pain! I replaced mine on the old 93 with the older style hose fitting and regular heater hose.
