Board Float Trip

Me and LonghornJeff69 are tring to get a board float trip, camp out, BBQ, and truck show sometime next summer. It would be at Aker's Ferry Campground, south of Salem Missouri (about 100 miles southwest of St. Louis). The caone trip would be on the Current River, a deep stream with lots of fish, springs, and swimming holes. It is a easy river to float, no big rapids or anyting else, class II water i think. So who is interested?

I dunno when, just sometime next summer. June would be ok, the river gets a little low in July and August, but anytime next summer would be fine.

You know whats odd...I'm a native of this region and have NEVER been on a float trip....Sounds like fun though...Count me in ( as long as it doesn't interfere with Goodguys at Indy...)

Hell yeah the Current is a blast. Have not floated 'er in 15 years but I would be there for shure. I am looking for a new homestead on the far end of Lake of the Ozarks and should be settled in nicely by spring. Hell we may just all have to go to my place instead and make a huge fish and ski party out of it~!

The Current River area is very beautiful and a nice stream to float. Count me in on being there but not in that cold a$$ water. I hate blue lips, LOL. I may just have to stay back and cook for everyone.

ummm how long of a drive is that from Winnipeg manitoba Canada. How many days??

I would come and maybe ask the truck club that I belong to up here to see if any of them want to come.

Mudder 11-01-2001 12:55 PM

NO! I'm not a good cook but I haven't gotten food posioning from anything yet I have cooked. AND, after being on the river all day burgers and dogs would probably taste pretty good.
