Who has done it, what did you use? How much of a pain was it?

Good question. I am curious, too. looks a bit harde than doing a pickup bed.
Thankfully mine is in good shape, except forthe rubber mat like thing over it, that is stuck like glue.
We are hoping we can scrape off the rubber stuff, sand and refinish it where it is.

I can take a picture of a complete floor out if you like. it is 2 pieces of I would imagine marine grade plywood joined in the middle(overlapping-rabbet up,rabbet down,about 3/8")
i think that it has a slight rabbet on the upper outside edges where it goes under sheet metal, which is all of the way around. when you take it out you will more than likely find problems which you didn't think were there, it bolts in on the sides from underneath with encapsulated nuts inside the bottom of the body panels which are not accessible unless you make an opening. odds are that some will break their weld or break due to tha orange stuff. that bottom ledge that mounts over the wood is usually good for some rust work.
once that nut inside starts to spin. how to get it out. this is where you start to hack out the floor. it is more than likely a little rotten anyway. That is why you were going to take it out in the first place right
the real kicker is, I believe that they installed the floor before they mounted the body on the frame from underneath as it will have metal covering it on all 4 edges
