WIW 66 GMC 1 ton Panel
3 Attachment(s)
My brother and I just rolled up on this sweet 66. This thing is solid, some bubbling at the base of the front fenders and the driver's rocker but thats about it. It appears to be all original, V6 4 spd, complete interior (with the fold down jump seats too). It runs and drives out correct and looks to be a very nice survivor.
Owner has all the paperwork (Oregon truck ordered new by a Doctor) and is asking $5200. I don't know much about pre 67's so any input you guys have will help. I'm curious about rarity also as I have never seen one of these before. I love the fact it's a :gmc2: |

Re: WIW 66 GMC 1 ton Panel
Well, IMO it would be worth that if you need a towing rig.
BUT....as cool as those V-6 engines are try finding parts for it. You can find them. But they are not cheap. Can't just go to any parts store and buy parts. And its too long to be a cruising vehicle. You would really have to be in love with that thing to pay that much for it. |
Re: WIW 66 GMC 1 ton Panel
An interesting find for sure. No doubt quite rare, but not necessarily worth a ton (pun). It's not a suburban and it's no longer a panel...it's just kind of big and weird... with a V6. Probably worth the asking price to those that like big weird stuff.

Re: WIW 66 GMC 1 ton Panel
I just passed on a 65 C30 for $1500. It had 2 cut windows in the side panels as well. condition was not bad but still needed floors, rockers, supports and lots more unseen problems. I would think twice on this one though as a tow rig for my parts business. It would really grab attention at the shows.
