No luck removing exhaust!!!
Hello
So frustrated with my truck today. Nothing has been going right this week. So I wanted to switch my manifolds for a set of headers. But due to lack of funds and the DMV deciding I need to get it reinspected for the 2nd time this year. I decided that at least I could replace the manifold donuts to stop it from leaking. Not to hard right. Well the studs where so rusted there wasn't much left of the nuts. Ended up breaking 4 of them. Next I tried removing the pass. side manifold. So I could drill the studs out. Only got 1 manifold bolt removed, tried soaking them in PB buster, and tapping them with a hammer, impact gun, and heat. Nothing is working. Decided to just drill them from under the truck. Got one done and drill battery died. I guess on the positive side at least the weather has been nice today. |

This job sucks no matter what kind of vehicle it is! But a sawzall, cutoff disc on a grinder, or lots of heat and oil are about the best ways to do it. Personally, sawzall is hard to beat.
