Warming Up

Is it normal for me to have to warm up my truck for a few minutes early in the morning, even though it's 75 degrees out?

Of course it's normal. No matter what the outside temp it's cold in the plenum under your carb and flowing fuel vapours cool it more.

Re: Warming Up

Warming the motor to normal operating temp was standard practice before the advent of electronic ignition and fuel injection. Some cars were more tempermental than others, but most required some level of tinkering and waiting before heading out.

Alright cool, thanks for the feedback. I was just checking to make sure it wasn't something with the engine that could be an easy fix.
