Yes you can if your rear end is a leaf spring set up. Wont work if it is coil springs

Yep...the front x-members will swap as well....go ahead and use the booster and all...probably the easiest route is to unbolt and swap:D

Don't tell me you're going to rob parts off that nice blue truck just to get disc brakes.

Just buy some $219 dollar 63-70 conversion spindles and auto parts stor 1-1/4" rotors and calipers,... and add them too your white '70.
Use a 71-72 M/C and prop valve and you are done.
For the rear,... buy a set of Moser axles and 71-72 5-lug brake drums.

The days of finding oem parts to do disc brake conversions are over.
And a crossmember swap is completely unneccessary!

Just my opinion,... but that's crazy.
You will have to buy rearend saddles for the trailing arm rearend.
You will also have to buy a super track bar since the later rearend has no place to attach the track bar.

I could understand if it was a beater parts truck,... but to destroy a perfectly good squarebody just to get the brakes?

So the 70s set up won't work on the 87 I'm sorry I don't much about it

No.
Not without spending a bunch of money, parts swapping, brake tube bending, and bleeding, etc.
Not just a bunch of parts swapping.
I assume your '70 has trailing arms, not leaf springs?

The prop valves are in different locations, M/C are diffferent, etc.
Plus,... who would want that squarebody with drum brakes?

Sell the blue truck and buy a disc brake kit for your 70,...
