72 gas line question

Can I plug one of the gas lines on my 72? It has the two line emissions one currently, but my new holley fuel pump is a one line. thanks

Re: 72 gas line question

72 has 3 lines, main feed to the pump, one return from the pump, and one emission to the charcoal canister. You could plug the return and the canister line. With the return line inop, you run the risk of vapor lock in hot weather.

How do the earlier ones work without the return?

Re: 72 gas line question

They didn't and were prone to vapor lock. A return line was one of the ways GM dealt with vapor lock issues.
