Throttle cable/ Kickdown cable bracket mounting

Could and help me with this l, maybe some pictures. I purchased a bracket from jegs with a 700r4 adapter, basically the adapter is a flat price of metal with 6 holes and a offset. I'm having trouble figuring out how this bracket and adapter goes. Any way I mount it something is wrong, if anyone has a SBC with a edelbrock carb and this same setup I would greatly appreciate a picture, any info you guys could share would be great, Thanks.

What I ordered through jegs is, bracket # 555-157060, 700r4 adapter # is 865-2429. I'm not sure if it is the right set up or not. Do you have a picture of your setup?

I would really appreciate some pics, thank would help me tremendously. Also did you hook up the spring of leave it off? I've seen conflicting info about the brackets, so I don't know what to believe, but if it works on your setup it should work on mine, it sounds like we.have the same setups. Thanks for your help.

yes the other end of the spring is hooked to the front of the manifold. that is the throttle return spring.

I had the same issue so I used this to make sure the TV cable worked properly. It was about $20 on eBay.

Hey MDc10

On the end of my TV cable, the little alignment detent, was not allowing me to orient the cable into the bracket. I took my utility knife, and basically trimmed the alignment detent off. This way the end of the cable went into the bracket and was held in place by the side "wings" that have to be depressed to inorder for it to be removed. Works perfect.

Here is the best bracket I found that will not bend. It's from Edelbrock. You do have to remove or relocated the stock cruise. I have an aftermarket cruise in my truck.

I tried several until I used the one above. It works great. I even had it modified for my taller intake.
