got a present from my neighbor last night
 

well went out to my truck this morning to go help a friend winterize his boat and was greeted by smashed tail light on the ground and the drivers side bed on my truck bent in from the cab to the wheel well. a clear shot from the neighbors driveway to my truck. the street where im at is wider then a normal street I can make a u turn with no issue if that tells you anything. what worse is the guy that owns the house came over acting stupid I about beat the s'not out of him. cops came did a report and asked me did the guy across the street admit anything cause the car that hit you came from that driveway. I knew the tail light that was left on the ground it looked like a dodge tail light after some quick searching in a near by parking lot I found a dodge caravan 00 up and was able to match the tail light to that make of car so I know it was a dodge van. seems I've seen a dodge van over this guys house a few times. I bet they never come forward but I know its them. what a freaking day

You wont see that van again until its fixed to hide the evidence. But when you do...brakefluid in waterballons are great for paint.

ask him for the name and phone number of his friend with the minivan . tell him your ____ saw a mini van from his drivway hit your truck. until then use a door skin to patch it up

That sucks, at least they missed the cab. Had that exact shot happen in a bar parking lot 1 week after painting my 76. Lay low til it's old news then you can straighten it out.

as of now I don't know what I will do I think I may take a hammer and a can of primer to it this weekend knock as much back into place and just get a coat of primer on it until the winter is over. hopefully next tax season I might be able to get a some new bedsides then I can get the new doors and fenders I've had in the boxes since 04 collecting dust and get busy.

at least you/family were not hurt
don't lie about seeing it,or vandelize.....could make it worse
and start a back and forth thing
all that and just a tailight? no paint chips?

here $20.00 gets a vin/plate address.....

yeah no paint chips but since I think it was a caravan with the huge plastic no painted bumper that would fit the parts left and the damage. but yeah im not going to do anything until that van makes an appearance again the I will go inspect it and call the cops
