Replace seals on 1964 3 speed manual transmission
Need to replace seals (I think this is the problem) on my three speed manual - its a 1964 with a 292 engine - Oil seems to be leaking from driver side - Unable to find a rebuild / gasket kit anywhere - Please help.

3 speed muncie or saginaw? on ebay...less than $100 for the mc318 muncie

How do I determine if its a Muncie or Sagainaw - special number or specific things to look for?

The muncie mc 318 has a long tail and short main case, see 1st pic w/bellhousing. The saginaw has a long main case and short tail.

Also...the muncie 3 speed will be a 4 bolt side cover and was used from 1940-68. The saginaw has a 7 bolt side cover and was used from 1966-87. The borg warner t-16 has a 9 bolt side cover, was a HD 3 speed used in many BB muscle cars from 65-68 and trucks in 1968. This pic is a borg t-16, its what ive got behind my 427BBC thats going in the 63 c-10

alright - I'm gonna crawl under the truck and take a better look and see if I can take a clear picture and post it - this really helps - I appreciate all the help!

If want need to replace the transmission with a rebuilt - Any suggestions on the best place to gt one?

I see alot of trans shops that sell rebuilt on Ebay. Check your local shops out also. There are still a few guys out there that can work on them. Also...look in the classifieds here...they do pop up for $100 or so every now and then.
