which headers??

Have a cracked collector long tube headers. Think I wanna go with shortys to keep from having any bottoming out issues.
1. Will the shorties affect my gas mileage in a bad way? Motor is 350h/O , Holley 4 barrel, light cam.

2. Is there any decent brands with minimal fitment issues and durability that you would recommend?

Thanks

Go mid length headers. Shortys just look good and that's about it

Re: which headers??

I've never heard of anyone having bottoming out issues on a truck...unless it was insanely lowered.

I've used Hedman headers from Summit. Cheap, fit well, and good performance.

Headmans on my ole truck. No problems at all.

Re: which headers??

The ones i have on there now hang pretty low. The truck is lowered on 2.5 spindles and 1 coil cut in the front.

Re: which headers??

Doug Thorleys tuck up very nice on the bottom side of a BBC truck. You will hit other things long before you hit the collector.

Re: which headers??

Doug's and Doug thorley are the only long tubes that fit these trucks like they are supposed too
