Brake Shoe Replacement Difficulty???

How hard is it to replace front brake shoes on a 70 C20? Any advice on how to do it? I have never done this before so any help would be apreciated. Thanks

It isn't too hard. Do one side at a time so you can look at the other side for referance.
Also, a mounting kit and adjuster kit would be $$ well spent.

Can I get those both at like AutoZone?

If you have a digital camera, take pics before you start and each step.

I always get called away during jobs and it helps me get things back right.

I just did all 4 of mine. I'd say 4 hrs tops start to finish (tires off to on). Definetly only take one apart at a time. And lay the items in an orderly manor on the ground and try to reinstall opposite of removing. To me it's always been easier to remove the two springs holding the shoes to the backing blate first then the adjuster and spring first than remove one shoe and put a new one on then remove the other shoe and put the new one on then install the adjuster etc.....

You should be able to get the kits I listed at a parts store...I'm almost positive NAPA can get them if the chain stores can't.
