Ac/heater/defrost issues...advice is needed
'98 burb 5.7 vortec ac/heat will not turn on anymore. This is after taking the blower motor off to fix leaking and reinstalling.
When I start it, sounds like the blower motor moves this is with ac/heat off. Does anyone know why nothing works now, not even defrost? What did I do to cause this? Thanks for all advice/experience. It is greatly appreciated. Posted via Mobile Device |

If the blower was working before, but not working now, more than likely you did not re-connected it properly. Check the fuse first to make sure it's good. Then turn the blower ON to high and figure a way to check power at the motor (or at least the plug nearer the motor). If power is present at the motor, then make sure the ground is good.
If there is no power at the motor, then you will have to trace it back to the fuse. In my 1988 Sierra, the hot wire right on the fan motor is orange color, and the ground lead is black. |

Reconnected blower motor the other day. It doesn't make any noises now when started. Doesn't blow air or heat. Its missing one screw on the right side, not the ground screw.
Is this connected right? http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps41922f3f.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps401f8a38.jpg Posted via Mobile Device |
