New Guy here, This is Ol John Lee
This is Ol John Lee, 1964, original 283, 3 speed. I have a few repair threads to ad, just what I've done so far. Keeping Ol John Lee on the road, reliable and in his original work clothes as much as possible.
Here he is on arrival home. Started him up after a 6 year sit in a garage and drove 180 miles home with out a hitch. Traded three hunting rifles for this truck in Dec 12. Me and Ol John Lee are now over 10 months and nearly 8000 miles (trouble free) down the road. http://i.imgur.com/c3j6I.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2gzSG.jpg |

Re: New Guy here, This is Ol John Lee
Thanks all. The cracked hub caps stay on. The original wheels don't leak down if I keep tubes in em. The motor runs great with a quart of 20W50 every other tank. It starts every mornin if I remember it ain't fuel injection. Theres 113900 original miles on it now. A pile of suspension parts are on the bench, waitin for steering box and brake lines/hoses and my boy to get here to finish the bulk of the underside maintenance. In the meantime, my ford freestar van died this week at 169000 milesand Ol John Lee is filling the gap. I couldn't be happier with this truck. Looks good, runs good and near 8000 miles since picking it up in Dec 12, its still running strong. Who knows if the motor will hold up for another 50K miles but if it dosn't that'd be okay by me for the great service to date.
