Anyone used Duplicolor to dye a fabric seat?

I'm doing my interior in black and picked up some duplicolor for the seat. Before I start has anyone ever used the stuff and how did it turn out? I watched some videos on youtube but they are from duplicolor so of course its easy and always turns out perfect. I want real life experience.

I have. Works really good but like ny paint job the prep is the most important thing. You ned to have it clean from all the silicone and armor all that has been used over the years.

This is a fabric seat not leather or vinyl. I got the stuff that says good for fabric. No Armor All on the fabric seat I'm guessing.

Yeah, the fabric is the iffy thing. I can't speak for duplicolor specifically, but I once owned a car who's previous owner "re-dyed" the interior with a spray can. The vinyl was fine but the carpets were a crusty mess.
Obviously, try a test on some similar fabric first.

I think I will try the back of the seat and see what happens. Maybe. As luck would have it winter came last night so I;m not sure f it will get warm enough to spray it. Guess I'll check the weather report and go from there.

Doesnt work well on fabric, makes it super hard and it absorbs but doesnt give a solid look..old color bleeds through no matter how much you spray it. As far as leather it sucks major a$$, gloss black ruined my perfect condition tan leather seats. All it has worked right on is my dash.

Well that sucks. I guess I'll return the dye and try to figure out what seats I have and get new covers in black.

I would think if you could remove the covers, Rite dye would be another option.
