Different size holes for the upper and lower ball joints AND the outer tie rod hole.

That's what I was thinking. Read several of your post about them before. Thought it might be easier for him to get those parts and use what he's got. Will that work for those that make this mistake?

Thanks Keith

Thats what I figured. I was thinking you would have to get the rest of the steering components to make it work. It would just be a tad bit more money to add to it.

If I wasn't keeping 6 lug I would have been all over them. Good luck with selling or trading

You should buy them and convert to 6-lug disc brakes!

lol... I would be all over it if the funds was available in the bank honestly. That was definitely a future question I was going to ask, but I guess there is no better time than now. Do the companies that make these spindles use the same spindles for 6 and 5 lug? I am guessing they do, since you mentioned I should purchase these. I have done a little research on it, but I never found a answer that purely says yes.

Right now, I got my eye on McGaughy's complete conversion kit thru GMCPauls. Figure it will save me additional shipping if I get it all at once. In the saving process right now for the purchase.

You need:
1) any 63-70 conversion spindle.

2) Aftermarket 6-lug rotor like these:
http://www.performanceonline.com/che...ersion-rotors/

3) 71-72 Calipers for 1-1/4" rotors.

4) 71-72 M/C and prop valve.

The aftermarket 6-lug rotors are just 5-lug blanks that have been drilled with the 6-lug pattern.

Thanks SBC. I recently have a line on an entire '72 front crossmember for my '68 which would, as you know, not use these spindles. I should know tonight which way I'm going and will let you know.

Re: cpp drop spindles for sale or trade

I have some 71-72 that I was going to use just because I had them. Still have to convert the tierods and upper ball joint. Now whats the reason you wont keep them? If I was closer I would trade you and add a lil money on top of the deal.
