Rear end questions and help
 

Hey guys,

I have a 68 SWB stepside. I need to replace the rear end, the ring and pinion is bad. Sure its much cheaper to swap the whole setup to a used rear end that fix what ive got. Im pretty sure that the previous owner swapped the 68 body to a 72 frame. Its has discs up front. looks stock 5x5 lug setup. Question is what year rear ends will be a direct match. Im assuming that the 67-72 1/2 tons are the same. will the 73-87 match up as well. thanks for any info.
