T221 Parts

Okay, so like an idiot I lost the two washers that sandwich the direct drive gear on the input shaft of my T221. I'm curious if anyone out there would know where to find replacements.

I see u are in Utah. Try Novak industries. They used to do a lot with 221, not so much anymore, but they still have some stuff laying around

Thanks odog! Yeah, I'm in Utah on the south end of SL valley.

I'll see if they can steer me in the right direction. Otherwise, I may be looking for another T221 to rip apart. I'm curious if there are any other washers I could use.

Novak is in that area, somewhere. I got a few parts fom them last year. If they cant steer u in the right direction, it may be hard to find a 221. A board memeber called SunSoaked has been toying with getting rid of one in favor of a 205, and he is in Arizona area.

Re: T221 Parts

I'm starting to wonder if this even had washers. Looking at my photos of when I tore it down, I'm not seeing them. I think it would have to have them because it seems like the gear would "walk" back and forth without them. Man this just sucks because it's in really good shape and I don't want to go through the hassle of switching it to a 205.

Im trying to find a parts blow up to see if that will help.

Re: T221 Parts

I was able to find an expanded diagram, and that's where I noticed the washers.

Re: T221 Parts

Well, still no luck on this. I did have a fellow member point me to the specs of the washers, so if I HAVE to I guess I could have them machined. It's amazing to me that I can't find one that has been destroyed so that I could steal these washers out of it.

Re: T221 Parts

Okay, so I thought I was moving forward, only to find that now I'm missing the yoke. I'm either going to have to get a gremlin detection system, or figure out how to fix my organization skills.

Does anyone know if there a yoke out of a NP 205 would work on this or am I stuck trying to find one from another T 221?

Re: T221 Parts

Okay, so I'm just being dumb!!! I thought there were 3 yokes, but this isn't a divorced case, so there should only be two...which I have both. This just goes to show that I really need to make sure I document and organize much better than I have.

Yeah, it really killed the progress I was hoping to make this weekend. After I figured out that I'm dumb, I just couldn't bring myself to work on it anymore
